About The Position

The People and Culture Business Partner (PCBP) serves as a strategic partner and provides guidance to organization leaders. Develops and executes equitable, proactive, business aligned, plans that help build and support Seattle Children's (SC's) commitment to People and Culture initiatives. The People and Culture Business Partner analyzes information, integrates critical thinking, and partners with People and Culture team members to design and deliver strategies focused on organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent management, total rewards, and labor management. The People and Culture Business Partner plays an essential role in establishing and driving People and Culture programs/talent initiatives forward within specific company functions; while always ensuring they align with a company's business objectives. The People and Culture Business Partner relies on developing effective consulting relationships, business literacy, data analysis, and change management principles in the development and implementation of initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • At least three (3) year’s of Human Resources experience with HR Generalist background.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and skill applying, local, state and federal laws.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across diverse teams, fostering inclusive outcomes, and a strong commitment to DEI and anti-racist principles.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification
  • Master’s Degree in business or related field
  • Experience working in a large, complex health care organization and/or growing research operation
  • Experience working in a union environment
