The Role The Strategy Operations team at Zscaler is looking for a driven and detail-oriented People Analytics Intern to join us in San Jose, CA as part of our hybrid internship program. Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Analytics, This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on complex strategic initiatives enabling the Data Engineering and People Insight team on their strategic projects. You will split your time between technical development, data governance and Talent Insights initiatives to enhance organizational insights. You’ll help uncover meaningful trends, support knowledge-sharing practices, and identify actionable strategies to improve data-informed decision-making. By bringing fresh perspectives and exploring innovative analytic tools, you will play a key role in advancing the team’s overall data capabilities.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or Business Administration (with a concentration in Finance or Supply Chain).
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for innovation and technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analytics tools, such as SQL, R, Python, and Visier.
  • Prior internship experience in people analytics or a similar analytical role.

Responsibilities

  • Create impactful presentations and use data to tell compelling stories that drive actionable insights.
  • Act as a liaison between multiple stakeholders to ensure clear communication and seamless collaboration.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing while managing knowledge-based systems and technologies, such as intranets or databases, to organize and store critical information like best practices, documentation, and lessons learned.
