We’re hiring a Analytics Engineer, People Analytics for our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. This position is fully remote. Serve as the point person for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data structures to support EquipmentShare’s People Analytics initiatives. Partners with HR, Finance, and the People Analytics team to manage data infrastructure and ETL processes efficiently, while contributing to internal tooling, automation, and AI/LLM initiatives.

  • Develop SQL and Python pipelines extracting and transforming data from Workday, LMS, Qualtrics, and email inboxes via Fivetran.
  • Maintain Snowflake/dbt data models, views, tasks, and transformations.
  • Monitor pipelines, implement automated testing, and proactively resolve data quality or workflow issues.
  • Build dashboards and analytics solutions using internal tools (e.g., Looker).
  • Codify business rules into models, transformations, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Support day-to-day reporting and analytics, reducing complexity in accessing and querying cross-functional data.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data structures to support People Analytics initiatives.
  • Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and other analytics teams to deliver structured, secure, and reliable data solutions.
  • Contribute to internal tooling, automation, and AI/LLM-driven projects, such as chatbots and workflow automation.
  • Establish execution plans from start to finish for data initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
  • Take strong ownership of data quality, integrity, and operational reliability across analytics pipelines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of SQL experience, creating complex queries and scalable ETL solutions.
  • At least 3 years of Python experience, building and automating data pipelines and processes.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data modeling, including building production-ready data structures and transformations.
  • Experience with Snowflake, dbt, or similar data warehousing and modeling platforms.
  • Experience developing test automation and workflow orchestration using tools such as Airflow, Dagster, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Experience reporting and querying cross-functional HR, People Analytics, or operational data.
  • Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and modern data engineering tools, operating in a managed DevOps framework with primary responsibility for the application and data layer.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times
