About The Position

We specialize in machining complex geometries and difficult-to-cut alloys; your expertise in both Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and mechanical dimensional inspection is vital to ensuring these intricate designs meet the uncompromising standards of flight safety.

Requirements

Current Level II Certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) in accordance with NAS-410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
Proven track record of inspecting high-precision components with complex geometries (e.g., 5-axis milled parts).
Proficiency in manual dimensional inspection and the use of standard metrology equipment.
Must pass and maintain current eye examinations (Jaeger requirements) as required by NAS-410.
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 2–4 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and digital inspection techniques.
Knowledge of additional NDT methods (e.g., Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, or Ultrasonic Testing).
Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

Perform high-sensitivity Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) on complex, multi-axis machined parts to detect discontinuities in aluminum, titanium, and advanced aerospace alloys.
Utilize precision hand tools—including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges—to verify tight-tolerance features and internal diameters against engineering blueprints.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards for contoured structural components.
Record, organize, and report inspection results. Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing leads to resolve root causes of defects.
Set up, calibrate, and perform daily/weekly process control checks on NDT equipment and mechanical measuring tools.
