About The Position

Spero Rehab, part of Intune Physical Therapy, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with pelvic health training or experience to join their growing team in the Houston and Austin areas. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care for individuals experiencing sensitive pelvic floor dysfunctions, including incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, and post-surgical rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, clinically skilled, and comfortable building trust with patients and collaborating with referring providers. The position involves evaluating and treating patients, developing individualized care plans, providing education on self-management strategies, and utilizing evidence-informed interventions. Accurate documentation, effective communication with referral partners, and continuous professional development in pelvic health are essential. The role may also involve community outreach and relationship-building activities to support clinic growth and engagement.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Active North Carolina PT license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Pelvic health training or clinical experience
  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to build trust with patients discussing sensitive conditions
  • A patient-centered approach to care
  • Commitment to clinical quality, professionalism, and continued growth

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of pelvic health experience
  • Pelvic health certification, such as CAPP-Pelvic, PRPC, or equivalent, or commitment to pursuing certification within 12–18 months
  • Herman & Wallace Level 1, APTA Level 1 pelvic health training, or equivalent coursework
  • Experience treating both male and female pelvic health patients
  • Experience with manual therapy techniques specific to pelvic health

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat pelvic health patients, including men’s and women’s health conditions
  • Develop individualized plans of care based on each patient’s goals, presentation, and functional needs
  • Treat conditions such as urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pre- and postpartum concerns, and post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Provide patient education related to pelvic health, lifestyle modifications, therapeutic exercise, and self-management strategies
  • Use evidence-informed manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training interventions
  • Document accurately and timely
  • Communicate effectively with referral partners and other members of the clinical team
  • Continue developing clinical knowledge in pelvic health and related specialty care
  • Participate, as requested and with reasonable notice, in community outreach, local events, patient education, employer/school outreach, or relationship-building activities that support clinic growth, brand awareness, and community engagement.
