About The Position

As a dedicated Pega Software Engineer, you will work within defined guidelines and frameworks to support the Enterprise by developing, configuring, testing, and maintaining solutions for the Complaints Pega application. You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver reliable technology solutions that support complaint processes across Bank, Life, Property and Casualty, and Member Relation. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, or Phoenix, AZ. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Requirements

  • 2 years of software development experience specific to Pega Development.
  • 1 year of experience delivering technology solutions in all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle.
  • CSA Certification
  • Basic Understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Go, SQL, Pega.
  • Knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting applications and systems within production issues.
  • Ability to quickly understand applicable business acumen to provide appropriate Engineering solutions.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools.

Nice To Haves

  • US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner
  • CSSA Certification
  • Experience with REST integrations

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, code, and test technical solutions.
  • Write code to deliver features, and improvements, on a regular basis.
  • Investigates and resolve technical problems and production issues through troubleshooting techniques.
  • Continually improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Follows the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
