About The Position

We are seeking an experienced PEGA Non-Functional Testing (NFT) QA Engineer with strong expertise in Performance Testing, Load Testing, API Performance Validation, Monitoring & Observability, Infrastructure Performance Analysis, and PEGA Platform Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently driving enterprise-scale NFT programs, providing performance engineering recommendations, and ensuring PEGA applications meet stringent requirements for availability, scalability, security, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance, particularly within the banking domain.

Requirements

  • PEGA Platform: Strong understanding of PEGA architecture, workflows, case management, rules engine, and integrations.
  • Experience testing PEGA-based enterprise applications.
  • Performance Testing Tools: Hands-on expertise with Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad (preferred), or equivalent enterprise performance testing tools.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, ELK Stack, Prometheus.
  • API & Integration Testing: REST API Testing, SOAP Services Testing, Kafka Performance Validation, MQ Performance Testing, Enterprise Middleware Validation.
  • Database & Infrastructure: SQL Performance Analysis, Query Optimization, Database Monitoring, Application Server Performance Analysis, Infrastructure Resource Analysis, Capacity Planning.
  • Security & Reliability: Vulnerability Testing Support, Security Validation, Availability Testing, Failover Testing, Disaster Recovery Validation, Operational Resilience Testing.
  • Non-Functional Testing Scope: Strong experience in Load Testing, Stress Testing, Volume Testing, Endurance (Soak) Testing, Scalability Testing, Reliability Testing, Resilience Testing, Failover Testing, Disaster Recovery Testing, Production Readiness Validation, Capacity Planning & Benchmarking.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive non-functional testing strategies for PEGA applications, services, integrations, and operational workflows.
  • Define NFT scope, test plans, workload models, SLAs, success criteria, and release readiness metrics.
  • Drive end-to-end NFT engagements independently across multiple releases.
  • Design, execute, and report on: Load Testing, Stress Testing, Volume Testing, Endurance (Soak) Testing, Scalability Testing, Resilience Testing, Failover & Disaster Recovery Testing, Production Readiness Testing.
  • Analyze PEGA application behavior under varying user loads, transaction volumes, case processing demands, batch activities, and integration traffic.
  • Identify bottlenecks across PEGA Rules and Workflows, Case Processing Engines, APIs and Integration Layers, Databases, Middleware and Messaging Systems, Infrastructure Components, External Dependencies.
  • Validate and analyze: Response Time, Throughput, CPU Utilization, Memory Consumption, Thread Utilization, Database Performance, Queue Behavior, Network and System Resource Utilization.
  • Conduct API performance testing for REST Services, SOAP Services, Kafka, MQ, Enterprise Integration Platforms.
  • Validate integration throughput, latency, reliability, and resilience under peak workloads.
  • Leverage monitoring and observability platforms to detect performance issues, resource constraints, and system bottlenecks.
  • Analyze logs, traces, metrics, and performance dashboards to support root cause investigations.
  • Partner with PEGA developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and database administrators to recommend Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Caching Strategies, Indexing Improvements, Rule Optimization, Infrastructure Enhancements.
  • Support capacity planning, environment sizing, SLA validation, and workload forecasting.
  • Work closely with Information Security teams to support Vulnerability Assessments, Access Control Validation, Data Security Verification, Penetration Testing Remediation Validation.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare executive-ready NFT reports including: Test Results, Performance Observations, Risks & Impact Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, Optimization Recommendations, Go-Live Readiness Status.
  • Present findings to business stakeholders, development teams, architects, and release governance forums.
