About The Position

Requirements

• Video Production and Master Control Operations – 2+ years
• Associates degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or related field or comparable television, cable television work experience
• Knowledge of the computer automation systems used in PEG facilities required
• Knowledge of studio-based production and postproduction
• Basic understanding of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operation of television broadcasting systems
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well under pressure and time deadlines.
• Ability to read waveform, vector-scope and RF monitor
• Ability to work different shifts or longer shifts due to “breaking news” and severe weather emergencies
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the State of residence

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and running the automation tools and equipment needed for encoding and sustaining regular cablecast programs.
• Communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing, with community members, internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Collaborating closely with community members to make media production tools and resources accessible to them and sharing their experiences and viewpoints with a larger audience.
• Collecting information and handling details about scheduling and equipment usage.
