About The Position
Provide academic assistance to fellow students. Serve as a resource to help Alamo Colleges District students access services that support student success. This is a part-time, temporary, hourly position working 19 hours per week, with one opening. The position is not eligible for benefits. The work location is Tutoring Services, 1201 Kitty Hawk Rd., Universal City, Texas 78148. May work until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Applications close October 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. CST. Applicants should submit copies of college transcripts under the Other Documents section; unofficial copies are acceptable when applying.
Requirements
- Overall GPA of at least 2.75.
- Must have taken the course being tutored, or a higher-level course, and earned a grade of B or better.
- Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at an Alamo Colleges District college or another accredited institution of higher education.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a tutor.
- Successful completion of 15 semester credit hours.
- Experience with college-level English and Writing courses.
