About The Position

Radiant Health is seeking compassionate, recovery-focused individuals to join their team as a Peer Support Specialist. This role utilizes lived experience in recovery to help individuals overcome addiction, mental illness, and co-occurring disorders. The Peer Support Specialist works alongside therapists, providers, case managers, and community partners to offer recovery-focused support, encouraging hope and helping clients build healthier lives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Willing to obtain Certified Peer Support certification within 6 months of employment.
Must have personal, lived experience in their own recovery from addiction, mental illness, or co-occurring substance and mental disorders.
Minimum recovery time of 1-2 years.
Must have a valid drivers license.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in behavioral health, social work, case management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Build trusting, supportive relationships with clients.
Help individuals identify personal recovery goals and develop realistic action plans.
Encourage hope while celebrating progress and personal achievements.
Teach coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and healthy communication.
Help clients recognize their strengths and overcome barriers to recovery.
Support employment, education, and community involvement.
Connect clients with valuable community resources.
Advocate for clients during treatment team meetings and appointments.
Serve as a positive role model by sharing your own recovery experience appropriately.
Support all pathways of recovery, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Complete documentation accurately and maintain client confidentiality.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to changing lives.
