About The Position

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Peer Support Specialist to join our Second Shift team. This role is part of our innovative Mobile Crisis Team and focuses on making a real impact in times of crisis. Weekend availability is required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Eligibility to receive certification as a Certified Peer Support Professional required.
Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance that meets the Indiana State minimum coverage requirement and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Certification as a Certified Peer Support Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide Peer Recovery services, including crisis intervention, community outreach, and engagement.
Observe client progress towards objectives and provide feedback to clients and treatment providers.
Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
Interact positively by phone and in person with individuals experiencing acute crisis.
Establish rapport using personal experience as a person in recovery.
