Requirements

  • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders.
  • Valid driver's license with a minimum of three years of continuous driving experience and a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with underserved populations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer support services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use conditions.
  • Utilize lived experience to promote recovery, resilience, hope, and self-determination.
  • Assist individuals in developing coping skills, wellness strategies, and recovery goals.
  • Facilitate peer-led recovery groups and support activities.
  • Support individuals in achieving goals related to housing, employment, education, and community integration.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of person-centered treatment and recovery plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Advocate for individuals receiving services and support self-advocacy efforts.
  • Help individuals prepare for treatment and recovery planning meetings.
  • Promote recovery-oriented practices and peer support principles among team members.
  • Engage individuals through outreach, relationship building, and ongoing support.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services as assigned.
  • Assist with assessments, wellness plans, and other recovery-related documentation.
  • Support the development of natural supports and community resources.
  • Encourage independence, personal growth, and self-determination.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Complete timesheets and required records accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
