About The Position

Protocall Services is a national leader in crisis intervention, providing effective solutions and resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This Peer Support Specialist role is fully remote, requiring a distraction-free private office space to maintain HIPAA compliance and focus. Specialists will speak with callers over the phone, connecting with people, building rapport and client engagement, and providing available resources or information. They must remain calm and professional while multi-tasking and supporting callers. The role involves engaging with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL), connecting with dynamic, diverse people seeking support with a variety of experiences. Specialists will build empowering peer relationships with individuals, offering hope, recovery, and support services by sharing their lived experience with each person who reaches out to the New Mexico Peer-to-Peer Warmline. Peer Support Specialists work closely with one another in a unique, structured environment, taking part in ongoing meetings, training, and team building activities. Handling confidential information professionally and maintaining a continued commitment to personal recovery are essential. Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound or Equivalent (Accepted certifications: CFPSW, CPSW, and CWF or Equivalent)
  • Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire certification in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Working from home maintaining HIPAA compliance and focus requiring distraction-free private office space

Responsibilities

  • Share your lived experience with each person who reaches out to the New Mexico Peer-to-Peer Warmline
  • Work closely with other Peer Support Specialists
  • Take part in ongoing meetings, training and team building activities
  • Handle confidential information professionally
  • Maintain a continued commitment to your own recovery
