HOPE ~ HEALTH ~ HEALING Seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team working with individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court Ordered Treatment at our South Mountain Recovery Health Center. Full-Time Employment: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm Location: 3540 E. Baseline Rd. Unit #150, Phoenix AZ, 85042 Full Benefits Package - Including 401K Generous PTO/Sick Time (3+ weeks in Year 1) Additional Language Differential Pay Available NOW OFFERING AN ADDITIONAL $1.50/hr. SMI DIFFERENTIAL As a Peer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating various group and individual activities that support and strengthen the member and the families assisting them in their recovery. Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 weeks of behavioral health employment experience; or An associates degree in the field of medical or behavioral health, or A bachelor's degree (not in the field of behavioral health) and 1 year of behavioral health experience, or A bachelor's degree in the field of behavioral health.
- Peer Support Specialist Employment Training and Arizona State Peer Certification.
- Self-Identify as a Behavioral Health Care recipient in recovery for at least 1-3 years and/or first-hand experience with family members with serious mental illness and/or chronic disease.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
- Must be able to pass typing assessment with minimum 25wpm.
- Knowledge in use of Electronic Health Records - NextGen is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish/ASL is desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
- Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
- Must pass a TB Test.
