About The Position
New Phoenix, LLC is seeking dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Specialists (PSS) to provide recovery-focused support to individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges. This part-time role is ideal for someone who values lived experience, empowerment, and person-centered care.
Requirements
- NC Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) required
- Lived experience in recovery (mental health and/or substance use)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain documentation
- Reliable transportation for community-based work
Responsibilities
- Provide peer-based support using recovery principles and lived experience
- Assist individuals in developing coping skills, wellness strategies, and recovery goals
- Support clients in navigating community resources and services
- Document services accurately and in compliance with state standards
- Maintain professional boundaries and promote a safe, supportive environment
- Collaborate with clinical and program staff as needed
