Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
  • Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) course by the Missouri Credentialing Board (MCB) within six (6) months as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mentoring, advocacy, and problem-solving support to clients.
  • Assist in the coordination of community resources.
  • Assist clients in the creation of personal goals and action plans.
  • Assist clients in the employment search and in maintaining employment.
  • Partner with the client's treatment team to maximize recovery and wellness.
  • Conduct periodic client check-ins and provide ongoing guidance and support.
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.
