About The Position

Columbia Community Mental Health (CCMH) is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic providing services to individuals with mental, addiction, and developmental disabilities. The Peer Support Specialist, as part of an integrated care team, will provide peer-based, supportive services to adults, children, adolescents, and families as assigned by a designated QMHP, Clinical Supervisor or Administrator. Essential duties may vary per location/department/position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in social services field required and/or ability to be qualified as a QMHA preferred.
1-3 years related work experience preferred.
History of working cooperatively in a team.
Must have a Peer Support Specialist or Peer Wellness Specialist certification by the State of Oregon or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months.
Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.

Responsibilities

Provide peer-based, supportive services to adults, children, adolescents, and families as assigned by a designated QMHP, Clinical Supervisor or Administrator.
May be assigned to any agency program including, but not limited to: ACT, Crisis, Intensive Services, Outpatient, Jail Diversion, Wrap, Residential or Detox.
