As a Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. The Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach is an individual who possess a unique perspective to treatment, due to his/her own experience with mental illness and/or substance abuse. The Peer Support Specialist draws from his/her personal experience to carry the message of hope and recovery to the people we serve in residential and outpatient settings. Much of this support is offered in a coaching/mentoring manner, where the Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach cultivates and secures a connection with the person served, while teaching personal responsibility and serving as a mentor and role model on the recovery and wellness process. The Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach will interact, support and mentor persons served who are working to regain control over their own lives and over their own recovery process and will be an essential member of multi-disciplinary treatment teams. Our Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coaches are driven to make an impact in the lives of those we serve and are motivated by the healing they witness first-hand each day.
