About The Position

As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist in our Intensive Outpatient Services Program, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals working towards recovery. In this role, you’ll provide valuable peer support, advocate for clients, and connect them to resources that align with their personal recovery goals. You will work closely with clients to build coping strategies, access essential services, and navigate community resources. Through this position, you will gain experience in direct client support and professional collaboration, contributing to a recovery-focused, trauma-informed environment that encourages personal growth and and long-term wellness.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification
• Demonstrated recovery from a mental health or substance use disorder
• HS Diploma or GED
• Driver's License and reliable transportation
• Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients, employers, and colleagues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals.
• Empathy and Compassion
