About The Position
A full-time position is available for a Peer Recovery Support Specialist within the Horizons programs. The Peer Recovery Support Specialist will provide non-clinical, peer-to-peer support services designed to promote individuals' health improvement, recovery, resiliency, and overall wellness.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of lived experience with substance use disorder challenges and sustained personal recovery, as documented in the application.
- Requires travel between all Horizons program sites.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Must be certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist in Virginia or be eligible to obtain certification.
- Willingness to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process.
