As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist on the Welcoming team, you will help create a compassionate, recovery-focused environment for individuals entering services at HOPE Community Services. Drawing from your lived experience, you’ll provide peer support, encouragement, advocacy, and guidance to help clients feel safe, welcomed, and connected during the intake and orientation process. This role focuses on building trust, reducing anxiety around entering treatment, and helping individuals navigate the early stages of care. You’ll assist clients with understanding available services, accessing community resources, identifying recovery goals, and connecting to the supports they need to begin treatment successfully. You will work closely with Access staff, therapists, case managers, and other team members to ensure clients receive a supportive and trauma-informed introduction to services. This position also includes documentation responsibilities, coordination of referrals, and opportunities to provide support in both office and community settings.
