The Sober Support Unit Peer Recovery Coach engages individuals seeking SUD services and uses motivational interviewing to motivate an individual to continue through with services. This role provides short-term, intensive, recovery-oriented services to adults experiencing a SUD crisis. The coach will provide recovery coaching to individuals to help them engage and continue to withdrawal management or residential treatment services, communicating hope and the possibility of recovery through conversations. The role also involves contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, engaging actively with team members and other departments, documenting interactions and progress accurately in the Electronic Health Record, conducting intakes onto the unit, and referring individuals to appropriate access points.
