Provides direct service to clients in their homes, assisting with training in skills of daily living. This role involves teaching clients essential life skills such as personal hygiene, laundry, apartment cleaning, budgeting, shopping, and meal preparation. The specialist will also monitor apartment maintenance and safety, document client progress, and assist in building self-advocacy skills. A key aspect of this role is supporting recovery skill building to reduce reliance on emergency services, and potentially facilitating groups. The position requires lived experience as a consumer of mental health, substance use, and/or homeless services.
