Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required
Personal experience as a consumer, foster parent, or parent of a child in the child welfare, probation, or mental health systems required
A valid California Driver’s License and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year of full-time experience performing non-professional, consumer directed services in a mental health, health care, or other social services agency / organization serving people with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides outreach, advocacy, education, and support to family members throughout a client’s treatment and recovery process.
Helps families identify strengths and needs, connects them to community resources, provides crisis support, collaborates with the treatment team on care and safety planning, and documents services while promoting long-term family self-sufficiency and engagement.
