Peer Partner Counselor

We invite you to partner with us in our mission to improve mental healthcare. Population Served (Capacity): Serves clients (ages 11-17). Facility & Setting: Outpatient community-based services and support. Delivers client services throughout Fresno County within designated county limits. May be required to transport clients/client family members utilizing personal vehicle. Clinical Services (Core): Individual and family Counseling. Skills & Services: Medication management, Housing, Education, and Vocational Support services.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required
- Personal experience as a consumer, foster parent, or parent of a child in the child welfare, probation, or mental health systems required
- A valid California Driver’s License and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of full-time experience performing non-professional, consumer directed services in a mental health, health care, or other social services agency / organization serving people with disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides outreach, advocacy, education, and support to family members throughout a client’s treatment and recovery process.
- Helps families identify strengths and needs, connects them to community resources, provides crisis support, collaborates with the treatment team on care and safety planning, and documents services while promoting long-term family self-sufficiency and engagement.
