About The Position

The Peer Outreach & Engagement Ambassador is a highly visible, peer-facing role within the Career Education Center. This position focuses on connecting with students across campus to promote career education, resources, events, and opportunities through in-person outreach, tabling, and social media engagement. As a Peer Outreach & Engagement Ambassador, you will serve as a friendly ambassador for the Career Education Center by starting conversations, answering questions, and helping make career support feel accessible and relevant. You will collaborate with professional staff to plan outreach strategies, promote programs, and share student feedback that helps shape how we engage the campus community. This role will provide the opportunity to develop the following career readiness competencies: Career Management, Oral & Written Communication, Innovation & Creativity, and Teamwork & Leadership

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable speaking and presenting to peers
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Organizational skills
• Ability to take instruction and clearly communicate work/project progress
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Evidence of leadership, dependability, initiative, and attention to detail
• Ability to learn new software tools

Nice To Haves

• Experience with tabling, student leadership, or customer service
• Familiarity with Instagram, Canva, and editing software
