About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Peer Mentor to provide specialized expertise based on lived experience of mental health challenges. The goal is to inspire hope and motivation in youth struggling with similar concerns. The Peer Mentor will guide youth through their treatment process, offering outreach, peer support, and advocacy in accordance with the client's individual service plan. They will also help clients access recovery resources and communities and work in coordination with the clinical team, using their own recovery experience as a positive model.

Requirements

• Lived experience of mental health challenges
• Ability to share lived experience with purpose and intent to inspire hope and motivation
• Ability to guide youth through their treatment process
• Ability to provide outreach, peer support and advocacy
• Ability to help clients gain access to recovery resources and communities
• Ability to work in coordination with a clinical team
