About The Position

This position will allow you to combine your personal experience in recovery with skills to promote hope in others as they work to improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is an individual who has received, or currently receives mental health and/or substance abuse services and has a desire to help others.

Requirements

  • Current or former recipient of mental health and/or substance abuse services and willing to self-disclose.
  • Possess a current Tennessee State Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification or be eligible and willing to pursue with company provided training within 6 months of hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license for the state listed on your home address.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Proof of automobile insurance.
  • Clean Criminal history.
  • Clean Abuse Registry.
  • Proficient working with computer (Microsoft Office and databases).
  • Active listening skills.
  • Able to facilitate and engage people in group settings.
  • Team player.
  • Comfortable around people.
  • Ability to reach out and work with diverse groups, individuals, ideas, and opinions.
  • Time management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Open communicator.
  • Excellent oral, written, and public presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and respectfully with mental health consumers.
