About The Position

The Peer Educator Student Coordinator will manage a variety of tasks related to the administration of the Dare to Care and KNOW MORE education and prevention programming area within the Dean of Students Office. This position will work with the Assistant Dean of Students to plan small and large scale educational programs each semester around the topics of suicide prevention, mental health and well-being, sexual violence prevention, AOD education, and bystander intervention. The student coordinator will assist in the management of the Peer Educator student group, as well as social media content development and management. The Dare to Care Student coordinator will also assist with other Student Services programming including but not limited to New Student Orientation.

Requirements

• Be a good role model to students.
• Practice confidentiality and discretion as defined by the Dean of Students Office.
• Attend all formal trainings and meetings.
• Some evening and weekend availability will be required.
• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at Seton Hall University.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and passion for raising awareness surrounding suicide prevention, mental health and well-being, sexual violence prevention, AOD education, and bystander intervention.
• Prior experience working for the Dare to Care program is strongly preferred.
