About The Position

The Peer Counselor role in Outpatient Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Health System (MSH) is a full-time position focused on providing support through listening, encouraging, coaching, empowering, and connecting peers to resources tailored to their individual recovery needs. Key responsibilities include demonstrating respectful treatment of others, modeling self-responsibility, developing relationships, and actively participating in team efforts. The Peer Counselor is expected to maintain personal recovery at all times and complete all required training.
