About The Position

Catholic Community Services’ Family Behavioral Health (FBH) team is hiring a Peer Counselor (Parent Partner) to support youth and families receiving intensive, wrap-around behavioral health services in the Portland metro area. The position is based out of the FBH Portland office, with services provided in community settings and family homes. The role requires scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the families served. Working as part of a team, the Peer Counselor draws on personal experience as a parent whose child has received system services to build trust and support families. The counselor helps parents express their perspectives and ensures team members understand and consider those perspectives in treatment planning. The role supports youth and families in building confidence, maintaining hope, and working toward long-term safety and stability, including after formal behavioral health services end. Catholic Community Services describes itself as a values-driven organization providing family-oriented mental health care for children, youth, and families in their homes and communities.
