About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position available in Student Records (Advising). Start Date Position available on or after March 5, 2026 and ending on or before May 22, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. Job Description/Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Meet with students individually or in group setting. Be available to work in-person on campus as well as virtually online. Coordinate and/or facilitate workshops. Help students with registration assistance and academic deadlines. Help students in reading and understanding Degree Progress Report. Monitor student progress and provide appropriate referrals. Attend campus events and serve as representative of the Advising and Success Center. Assist with New Student Orientation (NSO). Create social media and marketing materials. Attend meetings and respond to emails/voicemails. Provide a student perspective on academic life in college. Help students with their transition to college. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
  • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
