About The Position

Peer advisor for World Languages and Cultures department. Along with general admin/office support.

Requirements

  • Little to minimal prior experience
  • Ability to learn support process
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be major or minor in Department of World Languages and cultures

Responsibilities

  • Peer Advisors are a valuable academic resource who help students select classes that meet their interests and program requirements
  • provide information on academic programs, policies and procedures
  • make appropriate referrals to campus resources
  • provide advice based on their experiences as students at CU
  • hold drop-in and appointment hours
  • respond to email requests for information or guidance
  • services will be advertised on college websites, social media, and newsletters
  • Assist Administrative assistant with office duties, computer, mail, in person assistance
  • Help Sr. administrative assistant as needed with minor tasks associated with academics and technology
