About The Position
Provide meaningful, life-changing 1:1 pediatric nursing care for an 11-year-old patient who relies on skilled nursing support. Affirmed Home Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for a pediatric patient in Allendale, NJ with quadriplegia secondary to a brain tumor, requiring G-tube feedings, suctioning, cough assist treatments, and mobility support in the home and school settings. Requirements
- Active New Jersey LPN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Physical exam within 12 months
- PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
- Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption
Nice To Haves
- Experience with G-tubes, suctioning, airway management, and medically complex pediatric patients preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care focused on safety, comfort, and clinical stability
- Manage and monitor G-tube feedings
- Perform suctioning and respiratory support interventions
- Administer cough assist treatments as ordered
- Assess and monitor respiratory status and overall condition
- Assist with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living
- Collaborate with the family, school staff, and pediatric clinical team to ensure continuity of care
