About The Position
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Heersink School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology seeks candidates to join the faculty of our stable and thriving Division of Pediatric Cardiology. As a joint cooperative of Children’s of Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, we are leaders in comprehensive pediatric and adult congenital cardiac care for the people of Alabama and the Southeast United States. The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiac intensivists, anesthesiologists, cardiac surgeons, and specialized nursing professionals to advance clinical, research, and educational activities focused on improving outcomes for children with congenital and acquired heart disease.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or PhD
- Demonstrated record of scholarship relevant to pediatric cardiovascular care, nursing science, or patient outcomes research
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and teaching skills are essential
Nice To Haves
- Experience in collaborative clinical or translational research is preferred
- Demonstrated interest or experience in scholarly activity, clinical outcomes research, and multidisciplinary program development
