About The Position

Annapolis Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate and skilled therapist to join our integrated Behavioral Health team in Crofton, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents ages 5-22, providing mental health services in a collaborative healthcare setting. This role involves addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, general behavioral issues, and ADHD. This candidate will work closely with referring pediatric providers in our practice to ensure comprehensive care for our young patients. Full-time or part-time opportunities are available, and virtual options may be available, as dictated by patient needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field required
  • Current unencumbered license to practice in the State of Maryland with licensure as an LCPC, LCMFT, or LCSW-C. LGPC licensure will also be considered (LCPC approved supervisor will be available on staff)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of computer systems and applications including electronic health record (EHR / EMR) usage
  • Willingness to work 1-2 evenings per week as part of a 4-day work week

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2 years of pediatric therapy experience preferred
  • Solid knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, parent training, or behavior modification helpful

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments of behavioral health needs and develop individualized treatment plans, which may include providing appropriate external resources based on level of care.
  • Utilizing best practices and evidence-based practices, conduct therapeutic interventions with children, parents, and families.
  • Work collaboratively with pediatric primary care providers at Annapolis Pediatrics to ensure a holistic approach to patient well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including progress notes and treatment plan.
  • Assesses for level of treatment need and coordinates transfer to higher level of care as appropriate
  • Independently provide individualized short-term, long-term, and transitional level mental health therapy via individual and family sessions for clients and families as outlined in treatment plans
