About The Position

KidMed is seeking compassionate and skilled Pediatricians (MD/DO) to join our growing team and help deliver high-quality urgent care that's just for kids. We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time Pediatricians across our Richmond, VA locations in Mechanicsville, Midlothian, and Short Pump. KidMed is a provider-led practice built by Pediatric ER physicians who believe that great care starts with empowered clinicians. Our clinics are thoughtfully designed around our providers to give you the autonomy, respect, and clinical support you need to practice at the top of your license. At KidMed, you'll be able to make a difference every day, every patient: Equipment and trained support staff to accommodate patients with acute needs from birth through age 25. Opportunity to perform procedures: laceration repairs/multilayer closures, I&D of abscesses, reduction of finger/toe fractures, foreign body removal, ingrown toenails, etc. Ability to treat fevers from the source with work-up down to 29 days old. Anaphylaxis treatment and respiratory distress. Cardiac issues, chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody stools. Genitourinary, Neurologic, Ortho, and Derm. In-house clinic for: suction, DME, IV fluids, and blood draws, injectable meds, and lab work. Support for our providers and their patients with direct admits, navigation of specialist referrals for same/next day follow up, and close ties with local pediatric specialists.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Physician Program
  • Valid Virginia Medical License
  • Valid DEA License (if applicable)
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Responsibilities

  • Accommodate patients with acute needs from birth through age 25.

  • Up to 40 hours and $500 to $2,500 for CME (based on tenure)
