About The Position

Saint James Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to pediatric patients within our community-based healthcare setting. The Pediatrician will deliver preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services while supporting organizational quality initiatives and promoting continuity of care for patients and families.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical school required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics required.
  • Active New Jersey medical license required.
  • Active CDS, DEA, and CPR/BLS certifications required.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
  • Experience utilizing electronic medical records (EPIC preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Community health, FQHC, or family practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services using evidence-based and generally accepted standards of medical practice.
  • Perform complete patient evaluations including medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
  • Coordinate patient care services, specialty referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up treatment plans.
  • Perform newborn examinations and routine pediatric medical procedures as appropriate.
  • Participate in regular on-call coverage as assigned.
  • Promote preventive healthcare and patient education, including immunizations, wellness visits, and disease prevention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, behavioral health providers, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Provide supervision, consultation, and clinical support to mid-level providers as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, chart audits, and organizational performance improvement activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, in-services, and organizational activities.
  • Participate in community outreach and health promotion events, including health fairs and educational presentations, as requested by leadership.
  • Support Saint James Health's mission of delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare services to underserved populations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.
