About The Position

A well-established, community-focused healthcare group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who values autonomy, strong OB referral relationships, and a predictable weekday schedule in a supportive rural health environment. The role involves outpatient practice with newborn rounding at Bacon County Hospital. The pediatrician will be the solo pediatrician within the group, joining a collaborative team of 8 total providers. The practice offers a Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with no weekend clinic hours, averaging 20-25 patients per day. There is a shared 1:3 call schedule with a Family Medicine physician in town, with very light call volume (~180 deliveries annually). Responsibilities include admitting and rounding at Bacon County Hospital, newborn rounding, supporting a Level I Nursery, and providing emergency C-section coverage only when requested by OB (rare). Access to a Level III NICU in Savannah is available for higher-acuity transfers.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Comfortable with newborn rounding
• Interested in practicing in a community-centered rural setting
• Values continuity of care and strong provider relationships
