About The Position

Advocare South Jersey Pediatrics is seeking a Full Time or Part Time Pediatrician to join their team in South Jersey, with offices in Cherry Hill and Collingswood, New Jersey. This practice has a long history of providing exceptional care to families. The role requires compassionate, evidence-based care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve high-quality patient outcomes. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to compliance standards, and promoting patient education and preventive care.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in New Jersey
  • American Board of Pediatrics certification or eligibility
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-oriented, patient-focused setting
  • Commitment to high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care
  • Strong understanding of clinical medicine, diagnostic methods, and treatment planning.
  • Knowledge of preventive care, chronic disease management, and evidence-based medical practices.
  • Familiarity with medical ethics, HIPAA, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and clinical documentation practices.
  • Advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in performing medical procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Effective communication and counseling skills with patients and families.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze medical data and test results accurately.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to make sound medical judgments under pressure and in urgent situations.
  • Ability to educate, motivate, and guide patients toward better health outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt to changing healthcare technologies, systems, and protocols.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents, including well child, sick/acute care visits, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Perform age-appropriate physical exams, developmental screenings, and behavioral assessments.
  • Administer immunizations and counsel families per CDC/AAP guidelines.
  • Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries and prescribe medications and treatments responsibly and accurately.
  • Provide anticipatory guidance on nutrition, growth, development, sleep, and safety.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care.
  • Refer patients to specialists and follow up on consults or coordinate care with therapists, schools, and community resources.
  • Review lab results, imaging, and reports and communicate findings to families.
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records (EMR), including completing visit notes, orders, and follow-up documentation.
  • Perform minor in-office procedures such as ear irrigation, nebulizer treatments, rapid tests (strep, flu, etc.), hearing and vision screening.
  • See 20-25 patients over a full day, in appropriate timeframe.
