Pediatrician - Outpatient
About The Position
Valley View Hospital is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatrician to join our integrated pediatric program serving families across Western Colorado. This opportunity is primarily an outpatient position, ideal for pediatricians who prefer a strong continuity clinic practice but who are interested in taking a limited amount of inpatient call to maintain nursery and hospital skills. You will join a physician-led pediatric group committed to relationship-driven care, clinical excellence, and long-term sustainability. This role is ideal for a pediatrician who values longitudinal relationships with patients and families, a predominantly outpatient practice model, and limited inpatient time (up to 24, 24-hour inpatient shifts per year). You will be practicing within an independent health system with strong physician leadership.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Interest in continuity-focused outpatient pediatrics
- Comfort supporting newborn and inpatient pediatric coverage in a collaborative model
- Commitment to family-centered, relationship-based care
- Interest in rural/community healthcare delivery
- Eligible to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Outpatient pediatric care (newborn through adolescent)
- Preventive care and chronic disease management
- Developmental and behavioral screening
- Limited inpatient pediatric and newborn coverage responsibilities
- Collaboration with specialists and regional referral partners
