About The Position

APG Urgent Care is seeking a Pediatric Urgent Care Registered Nurse for their location in Medford, New York. This role is ideal for a nurse looking to grow their career in a fast-paced pediatric urgent care environment. Allied Physicians Group is expanding pediatric urgent care services across Suffolk and Nassau County, building a collaborative, patient-focused team dedicated to delivering high-quality pediatric care when families need it most. Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Nurse License required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Pediatric experience required
• Experience with EMR systems required

Nice To Haves

• Urgent Care and/or Emergency Department experience preferred
• athenaOne experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and triage pediatric patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Obtain medical histories, vital signs, and clinical intake information to support diagnosis and treatment
• Prioritize patient care based on clinical presentation and collaborate with providers on treatment plans
• Perform nursing procedures including IV placement, venipuncture, specimen collection, medication administration, and other treatments within scope of practice
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status or emergent situations
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
