Pediatric Urgent Care PRN Coverage- (MD,DO,NP)
About The Position
Urgent Care for Children (UC4C) is seeking a PRN Pediatrician or Nurse Practitioner to join their team at their Huntsville or Madison, AL clinic. UC4C has been serving patients from birth through age 21 since 2017, with seven UCA-accredited clinics committed to evidence-based pediatric care and seamless follow-up with primary care providers. This role is ideal for motivated clinicians who thrive in fast-paced settings, love working with kids, and want to make a meaningful impact in pediatric care. The clinics are staffed with pediatric-trained medical providers and compassionate support staff who work together to deliver exceptional after-hours care for children in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school; active Alabama medical license; Board-Certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine; current CPR and PALS certifications required
- OR- Active AL APRN licensure and DEA.
- Minimum 2 years in pediatrics or urgent care preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, ability to provide evidence-based care, and comfort managing a wide range of acute pediatric cases.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and common software tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate families and work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver timely evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for non-emergent pediatric illnesses and injuries.
- Apply sound clinical judgment to determine appropriate interventions, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care plans.
- Clearly and compassionately educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and next steps.
- Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of patient encounters in compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Clinicians, providing oversight, guidance, and support in accordance with state regulations and organizational standards.
