Requirements
- Bachelor of Science/ Master/Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution, or Master Degree in Communications Disorders from an ASHA accredited institution, plus five years direct patient care experience, required.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, Physical Therapy Board, or the Louisiana State Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
- BLS certification through the AHA required.
- Working knowledge of typical computer software.
Nice To Haves
- Previous supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
- Experience with Kronos, Workday, EPIC and STRATA computer programs preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily operations of the adult or pediatric outpatient rehab locations.
- Managing all patient centric events and interactions.
- Participation in various committees/groups requiring input from outpatient rehab.
- Staff development, training, and management of on-going competencies.
- Responsible for all staff and patient scheduling, optimizing productivity and patient throughput.
- Ensuring appropriate documentation and charging for all patient encounters, per organization processes.
- Responsible for the management of clinic supplies, including ordering, appropriate utilization, and budget management.
- Maintain a case load at approximately 50% emphasizing specialized cases, physician requests and case studies / therapy audits.
- Assist Director in managing student clinical experiences in the OP Rehab setting for PT, OT and SLP.
- Assist Director in performing OP Rehab employee on boarding paperwork, performance evaluations and 90-day evaluations.
- Perform Leader Rounds on monthly basis.
