About The Position
Dayton Children’s Hospital is recruiting an additional pediatric surgeon to join its team of five in a robust pediatric surgery and neonatal practice. This full-time role is employed by Dayton Children’s Specialty Physicians and includes a comprehensive, highly competitive compensation and benefits package. The successful candidate must be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric surgery and hold or obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license. The division offers a collaborative, professional culture focused on innovation and quality improvement. Clinical work includes a large volume of laparoscopic and neonatal procedures, ECMO, and oncology. The department has an active clinical research focus, dedicated clinic staff, and support from general surgery residents. Physicians hold faculty appointments at Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine and teach medical students and residents. Dayton Children’s serves children from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. The main campus is near downtown Dayton, with an outpatient campus in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric surgery.
- Hold or obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license.
Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric surgical care, including laparoscopic and neonatal procedures.
- Participate in the department’s neonatal, ECMO, and oncology practice.
- Teach medical students and residents through the Boonshoft School of Medicine faculty appointment.
- Contribute to the division’s clinical research focus and quality-improvement culture.
