About The Position

Blue Bird Day, a leading specialized intensive pediatric therapeutic day program, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate clinic-based Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team of top therapists in Wheaton, IL. This is an opportunity to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment designed to help children thrive. As a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Blue Bird Day, you will provide speech therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. You'll foster each child's speech, receptive and expressive language, feeding and swallowing needs.

Requirements

• Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) certification
• Experience with children ages 2-7 years old
• Experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs
• Familiarity with Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized and group therapy
• Implementing therapeutic approaches such as Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
• Collaborating daily with occupational and physical therapists, and social workers
• Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care
