About The Position

Akron Children’s is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Pediatric Sleep Medicine Physician for an immediate, full-time opportunity at the Robert T. Stone, MD, Respiratory Center. The physician will join a well-established multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive sleep care to children and adolescents in a collaborative program with strong institutional support and the resources of a tertiary-care children’s hospital. The team includes three sleep psychologists, two Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, four sleep medicine-dedicated nurses, four sleep-certified physicians with pediatric and pulmonary expertise, and a sleep-certified pediatric neurologist who provides additional coverage, including EEG interpretation. The program has two AASM-accredited sleep laboratories in Akron and Boardman. Operating seven nights a week, the laboratories perform more than 1,600 sleep studies annually. A dedicated mobile sleep study unit also supports in-hospital sleep studies for patients requiring inpatient evaluation.
