LPN/RN Pediatric School Nurse – Monday–Friday Days
About The Position
Castor Home Health Solutions is hiring an RN or LPN to provide one-on-one nursing care to a teenager during the school day in Bloomington, Illinois. The nurse attends school with the patient and supports safe participation in the school day while providing ordered skilled nursing care. This case involves G-tube care only; tracheostomy and ventilator care are not required. It is described as a consistent, long-term case with paid, hands-on training and 24/7 clinical support. New graduates and applicants without previous private duty nursing experience are encouraged to apply. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no nights or weekends. Starting pay is $38+ per hour for RNs and $32+ per hour for LPNs.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN or LPN license.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
- A dependable and compassionate approach to care.
- Interest in working one-on-one with a pediatric patient.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to a pediatric patient during the school day.
- Attend school with the patient and help them participate safely in the school day.
- Provide G-tube care and feedings as ordered.
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Monitor the patient's condition throughout the school day.
- Communicate with the family, school staff, and Castor clinical team.
- Complete required nursing documentation.
- Provide compassionate and dependable care.
