About The Position

Children's Hospital of Michigan, a nationally ranked institution and the first and largest children's hospital in Michigan, is seeking a Pediatric Rheumatology Physician to join its growing Division of Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology. This is a full-time, employed position with an 80/20 clinical-to-academic split, offering a collaborative and academically engaged environment with strong infrastructure, including an on-site infusion center and dedicated research support. The role involves outpatient clinics, inpatient consult coverage, and participation in multicenter clinical trials. The division manages a full spectrum of autoimmune conditions and collaborates with other specialties and academic institutions.

Requirements

  • Board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Rheumatology.
  • Board eligibility or board certification in Pediatric Rheumatology subspecialty.
  • Eligibility to obtain Michigan medical licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a full panel of autoimmune conditions including JIA, lupus, dermatomyositis, vasculitis, scleroderma, periodic fever syndromes, and Behçet's disease.
  • Experience with on-site infusion center for IVIG and monoclonal antibody therapy.
  • Experience in cross-institutional collaboration with adult rheumatology.
  • Experience with academic affiliations with Wayne State University School of Medicine, Michigan State University, and Central Michigan University.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct four clinics per week (4-hour blocks) at the Pediatric Specialty Center and satellite locations.
  • Provide Pediatric Rheumatology inpatient consult coverage for 10 days per month.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary vasculitis clinic.
  • Engage in teaching and research activities.
  • Participate in multicenter research as encouraged.
