About The Position

AlwaysNear Home Care provides compassionate in-home care for children and seniors across Metro Atlanta. We’re growing our pediatric team and looking for caring, dependable caregivers to give families a much-needed break while children stay safe, engaged, and supported at home.

Requirements

Active CNA certification (Georgia Nurse Aide Registry) with pediatric experience, or hands-on experience caring for children with autism or other special needs
Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it)
TB test and required health screenings
Ability to lift 100 lbs and be active throughout a shift
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently in a family home

Nice To Haves

Experience with sensory needs, behavior support, or non-verbal communication is a plus
Experience with ABA, RBT, or autism support settings
Experience with medically complex children (feeding tubes, seizures, etc.)
Experience working in a school, daycare, or group home setting
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

Provide respite care for children with special needs, including autism, developmental delays, and medical complexity
Supervise and support children during daily routines such as meals, hygiene, toileting, dressing, and bedtime
Engage children in age-appropriate play, sensory activities, and structured routines
Support communication and behavior strategies as directed by the care plan and family
Assist with feeding, mobility, and transfers as needed
Keep children safe at all times and follow the individual care plan
Document each shift accurately and communicate updates to families and agency staff
Report any changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns right away
